Villagers Cut Crocodile Open, Find Something Disturbing
Villagers in Zimbabwe were horrified to discover the remains of an 8-year-old boy inside of a crocodile (video below).
A bystander captured the horrifying moment on camera, in which villagers can be seen cutting the croc open after suspecting it of killing and eating the boy. The villagers can be seen cutting open the crocodile's stomach to find the remains, which were immediately removed and buried two days later. The crocodile was killed once residents suspected it of eating the boy, and cut it open after it was deceased. Human body parts were then pulled from its stomach.
Viewers expressed their horror at the disturbing clip of the extraction, with some calling for crocodiles to be killed in order to protect children. Many even criticized people who bashed the villagers for killing the crocodile.
"You animal right ppl make me sick! A little boy got eaten by a bloody crocodile! Human life is worth more than that of a vicious croc. Sorry!" one Daily Mail reader commented.
"Glad they got the offending crocodile," one viewer commented on Mad World News' Facebook page.
In a similar incident, an Australian teenager was hospitalized after being attacked by a crocodile. The teen, Lee De Paauw, underwent surgery for injuries to is arm after he jumped into croc-infested waters in an attempt to impress a girl. When asked if he would go into the river again, he was certain of his answer.
"No, I wouldn't. I've been in that river before, you know? And I didn't expect it to happen," he said, Sky News reported.
Within just seconds of going into the water, De Paauw was fighting with a croc that attacked him.
"He was talking about the local creek saying 'I can swim out' and so we said 'go on then', but we didn't think he would do it," Sophie Paterson, the girl who De Paauw was trying to win over, said. "It all happened very fast, pretty much as soon as he jumped in, there was splashing and screaming. There was blood everywhere and he just wouldn't stop screaming."
The teen reportedly came extremely close to being drowned by the crocodile. He expressed his desire to see the croc who attacked him go back to living a normal life and not be killed or captured as a result of its actions.
"I don't want that crocodile harmed," he said. "I want it to have a happy life." De Paauw also said he understood why people thought he was stupid for his stunt, but that he was "just trying to prove a point.
"Haters gonna hate," he said.
